The Xbox 360 is a true blessing to many gaming enthusiasts, with its excellent features and the hours of fun it provides. But don’t forget that all the fun of the Xbox 360 comes from the games which you play on it. These games don’t come cheap though; we all know how much they cost. So it’s only rational that you take good care of your discs.
However, even with the best care, accidents happen, and discs also get damaged after lots of use. When this happens, you will need to get another copy of the game, and that can really put a hole in the pocket after a couple of times! So instead, why not make backup copies of your games?
To burn a validated (using above guide) game using IMGBURN you need the following items:
1) A free versions of IMGBURN (download here)
2) A Dual Layer DVD burner (able of burning DVD+R DL)
3) Good quality DVD+R DL disc (Verbatim DVD+R DL are recommended)
4) A validated game file (usually ISO but can be other formats) and a validated .DVD file matching the game file.
It easiest to use a validated .DVD file for setting the correct Layer Break value but if you havn’t got or created a .DVD file you need to set the layer break value manually. This is done by accessing Tools -> Settings -> Write pane and then settings Layer Break (For DL Media) for User Specified value of 1913760.
When you’re ready to start burning you startup ImgBurn and chose Write image file to disc. You can insert your burning media (DVD+R DL) now or later.
You then click Browse at the top in the Source area and browse for the .DVD file of the desired game. You should also make sure that the correct burner has been selected at Destination and that Write speed is set to no more than 4x preferably 2,4x.
You’re now ready to burn. If your burning media have been inserted, correct burner selected and game file has been loaded the burn icon at the bottom will change from grey to color.
Click it to start the burn!
Wait till burning is finished and then enjoy your new stealth validated game.
